The Data Protection Board of India is standing up its case-handling machinery under the DPDP Rules 2025. The first public orders are expected once complaints work through the Section 27 inquiry and Section 28 hearing stages.
We monitor the Board's page daily. When the first order is published, it lands here inside 24 hours and goes out to alert subscribers the same day.

- Penalty amount and any behavioural direction.

If a competitor's tracker starts with hundreds of "orders" on day one of the Board's operation, ask where those came from.
How the DPB works, briefly
The Board is India's DPDP regulator. It takes complaints from data principals under Section 13, opens an inquiry under Section 27, holds a hearing under Section 28, and issues an order under Section 33. Penalties can go up to ₹250 crore per instance for the most serious breaches (Section 8 security failure that leads to a personal data breach).
The Board is a "digital office" by design. Most of its work is expected to happen online, with hearings by video and orders published on the Board's website. That means when a first order is out, it will be public within hours.
