How to reach the grievance officer at MFine

If MFine has mishandled your personal data, mishandled a consent request, ignored a deletion request, or held your data past its purpose, this is who you write to. They are legally obliged to reply inside 30 days.

Why this page exists: MFine does not publish a grievance officer email — they route complaints through a web form. This page surfaces the direct form URL and the exact statutory reference to include so your submission is treated under DPDP Section 8(9).

MFine was absorbed into LifeCell. Grievances now route via the LifeCell support channel. Reference your MFine account details in the ticket.

What you can complain about

Section 11 to Section 15 of the DPDP Act give you specific rights. A grievance is any failure by MFine to honour one of them. The common ones:

  • You asked to delete your data and they did not, or gave you an unreasonable run-around. Section 12.
  • You asked what data they have on you and got no summary. Section 11.
  • You asked to correct a wrong field (name, address, phone) and they refused or took months. Section 12.
  • You withdrew consent and they kept processing anyway, or kept sending you marketing. Section 6(4).
  • They shared your data with a third party you did not consent to. Section 8(1).
  • There was a data breach and you were not told. Section 8(6) and Rule 7.

The template we send you

Clicking the button above opens your email client with the address, subject and a draft body filled in. Read it, edit the two square-bracket bits, and send. Keep a copy for yourself.

If your email client does not open, copy the address and paste it into whichever email you use.

If they do not respond in 30 days

Escalate to the Data Protection Board of India under Section 13. The Board can direct MFine to answer and can impose penalties for continued non-compliance. Keep the original grievance email in the chain when you escalate. The Board looks at the paper trail.

The Board's contact and complaint mechanism is being set up under the DPDP Rules 2025. We will link the escalation form here the moment it is live. Until then, use CPGRAMS as an interim channel to keep your complaint on record.

Common pushback and how to answer it

"We need to verify your identity first." Fair, and DPDP allows it. Send them a copy of a KYC document plus your registered mobile number. They cannot ask for more than what they used to open your account.

"We are required by law to retain this data." Sometimes true (RBI KYC, PMLA, IT Act log retention). Ask them which law, which section, and for how long. If they cannot cite a specific section, the retention is discretionary and you can still ask for deletion of the fields that are not legally retained.

"Please raise this via the app." The Act requires a grievance officer with a real email. If the app raises a ticket that goes into a black hole, cc the grievance officer on the escalation and mention that the app ticket did not close inside 30 days.

Something wrong on this page?

If the email bounces, the officer has changed, or you are MFine updating your public contact, mail us at [email protected]. We update inside a week and re-verify every quarter.
